Delete a navigation menu item

You can delete top-level and sub-level navigation items. When you delete a top-level item, all sub-level items are also deleted.

Important : You cannot undo a Publish action. If you delete an item you will have to recreate it. Instead of deleting, consider hiding it and making it visible only to logged-in users or re-purposing it, as an alternative if you’re not certain about deletion.
Tip: Preview the user home page when you make changes.

Delete a top-level navigation item

You can remove navigation items that you’ve added. You cannot delete system default items, like Home or module links. If the item you want to delete has sub-links, decide what if you want to keep them.

Important: Deleting a top-level navigation item deletes all sub-link navigation items. If you want to keep the sub-links as separate top-level items, you need to recreate them as new top-level items before deletion.

  2. In the Navigation menu links list, identify the top-level item you want to delete.
