Create inspections using the map

From the map dashboard, inspectors can select parcels or addresses on the map, select records, and schedule inspections. Accela GIS also allows you to create multiple inspections on multiple records in the same transaction.

To create inspections from a map

  1. Open the Map dashboard.

  2. Open the Layers option and verify that the Parcel layer is selectable.

  3. Find the parcels for inspection. See Advanced search on a map for more information.

  4. On the Results tab, scroll to the Records list to select the check box next to the records to be inspected

    Note: The check-box is disabled for closed records.
  5. After selecting the records, select Actions > Create an inspection.

    Note: The Actions menu is disabled until a record is selected and activates after selecting a record.
  6. On the Inspections window, enter the inspection parameters (such as inspection type), and select Schedule inspections.

  7. Review the inspection details, edit as necessary, and select Submit to schedule the inspection.
