Export a list to a CSV file

Civic Platform provides a CSV export item in the menu of every list page or list tab that allows you to export the list of records on display into a CSV file.

Civic Platform also provides a CSV export button beside a Custom list table, if the custom list has some data in the database, that allows you to select a button to export all of the data stored in the database for the custom list (not only the data on display) into a CSV file.

You can export a list to a CSV file by navigating to that list and selecting Menu > CSV export. The CSV file is saved in your browser's default folder (such as, ..\Downloads) and given a unique name generated by Civic Platform.

To export a list to a CSV file

Open a page with a list format display.
Hover over Menu and select CSV export.
Navigate to you browser's default folder to access the downloaded CSV file.
