Create master calendars

You can create a master calendar that merges multiple calendars into a single calendar view. A master calendar makes it easier for supervisors to avoid conflicts when scheduling their team’s work assignments.

To create a master calendar

  1. From the Administration menu, select Calendars > Calendar.

  2. Either:

    • Select Supervisor maintenance from the navigation tree to list all supervisors

      or

    • Navigate through the navigation tree to find a specific user or a specific group supervisor.

  3. Select the supervisor for which you want to create a master calendar.

  4. Select the Master calendar tab.

  5. Add calendar(s) to your master calendar.

  6. Select Look up.

  7. Complete any of the search fields to find the calendars for which you are looking.

    Note: Selecting Submit without any search information displays all available calendars.
    Fields Action
    # Scheduling attempts Enter the number of scheduling attempts defined for the calendar you want to find.
    # Units allocated per day Enter the number of units scheduled per day for the calendar you want to find.
    Calendar name Enter the distinct name for the calendar you want to find.
    Status

    Select the status of the calendar you want to find from this list.

    You can select Active or Inactive.

    Type

    Select the type of calendar you want to find.

    You can select Meeting or Inspection.

  8. Select Submit.

  9. Select the check box(es) next to the calendar(s) you want to add to your master calendar.

  10. Select Select.

Note: You can remove calendar(s) from your master calendar tab. To remove a calendar:

  1. Select the check box(es) next to the calendar(s) to remove.

  2. Select Delete.
