View and update work orders
You can view a list of work orders as well as a summary of individual work orders.
You can quickly access a list of work orders that you are responsible for and make changes as needed.
To update work orders

From the Work orders page, open the work order to update.
Note: You can apply a filter to limit the number of work orders you see by certain criteria. See Filters for more information -
Select the Record tab.

Update the data as needed. See Work order fields for field definitions.

Select Submit.
After you create a work order, you can view a summary of major work order details.
To view a work order summary

From the Work orders page, find and open the work order for which you want to view the summary.

Select the Summary tab.
Note: To update the work order, select the Record tab and edit the data as needed. Select Submit when finished. See Work order fields for field definitions.
Civic Platform allows you to view the related asset, address, and parcel information of some work orders in the maps viewer, giving you the ability to create a useful map of relevant data. It also allows you to map work order histories to get a visual representation of asset, address, and parcel conditions.
To view work order-associated data in maps

From the Work orders page, do one of the following:

Select the check boxes next to the work order(s) you want to map in Accela GIS.

Open the work order and select the Map tab.

Select Map.
Note: Civic Platform displays a map of the relevant area, and displays all assets, addresses, and parcels related to the selected work orders.
You can edit or update several work orders at the same time if they all require the same change. For example, if you complete many work orders in one day, you can add the same “completed” date to all the records using the Group Update function.
To perform a group update

From the Work orders page, find and select the check box next to the work order(s) you want to update.

Hover over Menu and select Group update.

Update data as necessary. See Group update fields for field definitions.

Select Save.
