Perform random audits on sets

You can designate a specific group of records (permits, applications, work orders) using parameters you create, and then generate a random selection set for audit purposes from within that group. Use this audit set to execute scripts, run reports, apply filters, and otherwise audit the set of records.

Example: You want to audit twenty electrical licenses. After you define the set parameters, the audit set is generated, creating a list of twenty randomly selected electrical licenses that fall within the set parameters. A script is executed to contact the licensees, notifying them that they are being audited (or to automatically create mailing labels to send hard copies). The script then generates a report to audit fees and continuing education requirements.

Each permit, application, work order, or other type of record can belong to multiple audit sets. Records with locked or hold conditions are not excluded. For more information about managing random audits, see Random audits.
