Clone a record
When you clone a record, you are creating a duplicate of the original record with a new record ID number. The source record is the parent record, and the new cloned record is its child. When you clone more than one record from a source parent, each cloned record is a sibling to the others.
To clone a single record from the Related records tab

Find and open the record you want to clone.

Select the Related records tab.

Select Clone sgl.

(Optional) Select either Create one record for all parcels, or Create one record for each parcel.

(Optional) To filter the list of record types, select a module from the Select module list.

Do one of the following to locate the desired record:

In the Search record type field, type any part of a record type name. In the list of matches, select the desired record type.

Locate the desired record type in the record type list and select it.

Select Create record.

Select the check box next to each data element you want to include in the cloned record. See Copy and clone record form fields for details.
Important: Review your selections carefully. Once the record is cloned, any errors must be corrected manually.

Select Continue.

Complete the required fields and others as needed.
Note: Civic Platform may populate some fields from the original record. You can modify the data as needed.

Select Submit.
To clone multiple records from the Related records tab

Find and open the record you want to clone.

Select the Related records tab.

Select Clone mult.

In the # of clones per record type field, enter the number of clones to create.

(Optional) To specify a set for the clone, do one of the following:

Select New set to clone to a new set. Complete the required fields and others as needed, and then select Submit.

Select Existing set to clone to an existing set. Complete the required fields and others as needed, and then select Submit. Select the check box next to the desired set, and then select Submit.
Note: The selected set number is populated into the Clone to set field. To remove the set number, select Clear.

In the Record type tree, select the desired record type.

Select the >> button to add your selection to the list of selected record types.

(Optional) To add more record types, repeat steps 6 and 7.
Notes:
- When you add more than one record type to the list of selected record types, Civic Platform creates one record for each type selected.
- To remove a record from the list of selected record types, select the record and then select the << button.

Select Submit.

Select the check box next to each data element you want to include in the cloned records. See Copy and clone record form fields for details.

To clone records from the Record tab

Find and open the record you want to clone.

Select the Record tab.

Hover over the Menu button and select Clone.

In the # of clones per record type field, enter the number of clones to create.

(Optional) To specify a set for the clone, do one of the following:

Select New set to clone to a new set. Complete the required fields and others as needed, and then select Submit.

Select Existing set to clone to an existing set. Complete the required fields and others as needed, and then select Submit. Select the check box next to the desired set, and then select Submit.
Note: The selected set number is populated into the Clone to set field. To remove the set number, select Clear.

In the Record type tree, select the desired record type.

Select the >> button to add your selection to the list of selected record types.

(Optional) To add more record types, repeat steps 6 and 7.
Notes:
- When you add more than one record type to the list of selected record types, Civic Platform creates one record for each type selected.
