Supervisor override

Civic Platform's license renewal process prevents citizens from renewing licenses when they have outstanding fees. Supervisors can override this restriction if needed.

Example: A citizen comes to the agency to renew a license but is unable to because of outstanding fees. If the citizen pays the fees and provides proof of payment, a supervisor can override the restriction and authorize the renewal of the license.

Note: Supervisor override is only available when your agency enables it. Contact your agency administrator if you have questions about your agency's policy regarding supervisor overrides.

Once the proper configuration is in place, if an application or license to be renewed has unpaid fees, Civic Platform shows a prompt similar to the following when a cashier selects the Renew button:

To override the renewal error

Enter your username and password.
Select Authorize.
Enter a reason for the override.
Select Submit.
