Associate an address with an address type

You can associate an address with an address type, such as Street address or Parcel address. Address types enable users to classify and group addresses according to the application type. Address types apply to multiple pages, including Address, Asset, Parcel, and Record.

To associate an address with an address type

  1. Open the Addresses page.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Create a new address.

      or

    • Open the address you want to associate with an address type.

  3. Select the Address type tab.

  4. Select Look up.

  5. Complete the Address Type and Description fields and select Submit.

  6. Select the address type(s) you want to associate with the address.

  7. Select Select.

    Note: To remove an address type, select the check box next to the address type you want to remove, and select Delete.
