Bypass external link warning message

You can embed external links in your Public Portal. These can be found on the left pane navigation, action card, and OpenCounter buttons, as well as other areas throughout Public Portal. When a user selects an external link they will need to acknowledge a redirect warning message, stating that they are about to exit the current site. You can bypass the external link warning message by adding the allowed URLs to the WHITELIST_DOMAINS standard choice.

To bypass the redirect warning message

1. Log in to Civic Platform.

2. From the User account menu, select Class admin.

3. Select Agency profile > Standard choices.

4. In the Standard choices item name field, search for PUBLIC_PORTAL_FEATURES.

5. Select Submit.

6. Select the red dot in the Edit column for the standard choice.

7. In the Standard choices value column, select WHITELIST_DOMAINS.

8. Enter all the domains you want to bypass the redirect warning message. Include a comma to separate the domains.

   

   Important: If you have OpenCounter enabled you must include OpenCounter and their CNAME domain to the WHITELIST_DOMAINS standard choice.

9. Select Update.

10. Allow the Public Portal to refresh to reflect your changes.
