Add and edit APO template attributes
After you create a template, you can define attributes for the template. Each attribute that you define for a specific template shows up as an additional field when users add or edit an address, parcel, or owner based on that template.
When you add attributes to a template, you can determine whether the attribute displays as a text field, a drop-down list or another data type, such as an option button. You can also determine whether the field is mandatory or optional.
After creating an attribute, you can edit that attribute's parameters or change its status as needed.
After you have created a template, you need to add attributes to that template.

From the Administration menu, select Property > APO template.

Open the attribute template to which you want to add attributes.

Select Add attribute.

Complete the required fields and any other optional fields.
Field name Field description Attribute template name This is a read-only field. It is the name of the attribute template which was enter when the attribute template was created. Attribute type This is a read-only field. It is the name of the attribute type which was selected when the attribute template was created. Attribute name Enter a name for the attribute.
Note: The name of the attribute cannot contain spaces.Label Enter a label for the attribute. This label displays when a user adds or edits address, parcel, or owner information. Description Enter a description of the attribute to help you identify the attribute's purpose. Default value Enter a default value for the attribute.
Example: Default values can be used when setting up a list menu. you would add values to the list menu so that a user has multiple values from which to choose.Unit Select a unit or create a new one. Examples of units are "square feet," "dollars," or "miles." The unit entered into this field is attached to the first field value. Data type Select a data type for this attribute. The data type options available are Date, Number, Radio, or Drop-down List Display order Enter a number to designate the position of the first field in your Application Specific Information group.
Example: If you want the field to display before any other fields, enter 1.Required flag Select Yes to require this attribute for the Address, Parcel, and Owner template. ACA displayable Select Yes to display allow this attribute to display in Citizen Access.
Note: If you select No for this attribute, when users associate an APO that contains the attribute with a record, the attribute does not display in Citizen Access, but its value is stored for the record.Record searchable Select Yes to allow users to search for records using this attribute. Status Select Enable or Disable. Selecting Disabled hides this attribute from users. -
Select Save.

Repeat steps 3-4 to add additional attributes as needed.
After you add an attribute to a template, you might need to change it. You can update any attributes within the template by changing the label, data type, and any other features of the attribute.
To edit an APO template attribute

From the Administration menu, select Property > APO template.

Open the attribute template you want to edit.

Select the name of the attribute to edit.

Update the fields you want to edit.
